Looking at the portrait-format triptych "Alilaguna, azzurra-verde" is like being in the middle of blue waves. Short, slightly curved, fine lines painted predominantly in shades of blue, as well as white and light violet, form a wave-like all-over that develops organically across the canvases of the triptych and allows a layer of light and dark green colour tones to shimmer out from underneath.
The triptych is named "Alilaguna, azzurra-verde" after the shipping company whose boats connect Venice Marco Polo Airport with the historic centre of Venice and various islands such as Murano and Lido di Venezia. And by water, the Serenissima can be approached in the most dignified and enjoyable way: through the blue of the lagoon, with the green sea grass shimmering through here and there in shallow areas. Inspired by such a most happy and pleasant journey, the composition allows the viewer to participate visually and mentally through the colours of the lagoon and the movement of the water.
